Home Services Internet Access

We offer a wide range of different types of internet access - from simple broadband to dedicated lease lines directly into your building.

We offer a full range of internet connectivity services to suit all types of businesses. Whether it’s a simple 4G broadband, or an ultra-fast fibre optic solution, we’ll get you connected with the best performance for your budget.

The need for a reliable connection to the internet is becoming more and more of a necessity in the modern age, due to the increasing use of cloud services by businesses, and communication with customers through social media platforms and email marketing.

The type of internet access we can provide to your business depends on the following conditions:

Leased Line

A Leased Line connection is a dedicated internet line that is direct to your business, and isn’t shared with anyone else. Because of this, you have more control over the traffic on the line, and the available speeds are massive. Unlike other connections types, that are asynchronous, leased lines offer the same upload speed as download speed. This makes them perfect for companies that have to upload a lot of data as well as download. Due to exclusivity of the line, leased lines are capable of up to 10 Gbps, with budget being the main limiter.

Fibre To The Premises (FTTP) is a full fibre optic connection directly to the building. FTTP has limited availability at present, but is available in many major UK cities, with more planned. FTTP is capable of speeds up to 1 Gbps.

Fibre To The Cabinet (FTTC) is a fibre optic connection to your local cabinet (typically a green box on the street), which then uses the copper phone line that currently connects to your building. This is the most common way buildings are connected to the internet in the UK, with a coverage of 95%. FTTC is capable speeds up to 80 Mbps.

Single Order Generic Ethernet Access (SoGEA) is a fibre optic connection that is the same as FTTC, but without the need for a phone line, making it cheaper than a standard FTTC broadband package. If your business does not use a phone line, SoGEA is the better option over an FTTC connection. Just like FTTC, SoGEA offers max speeds of up to 80 Mbps.

4G/5G Mobile Broadband

Mobile Broadband uses a wireless internet connection, connected to a SIM card. Due to it’s complete lack of wires, it is perfect for travelling employees, as well as businesses located in buildings without a hardwire line. A major benefit of mobile broadband is also its flexibility. If signal is weak and there is no 5G connection available, a 4G connection is attempted, then a 3G connection, and so on.

4G is the most common mobile broadband covering 99% of the UK, with speeds up to 100 Mbps.

5G is only available in some UK cities at present, but has speeds up to 1 Gbps.
