Upgrade from Windows 10 to Windows 11 without having to pay for a new licence.
What are the benefits of upgrading?
Who qualifies for the free upgrade?
Provided you are currently running Windows 10, and have a valid Windows 10 licence, you are eligible for the free Windows 11 upgrade.
The only catch is if your computer is capable of running Windows 11, as it has some fairly specific requirements compared to previous iterations. Computers more than 4 years old will likely need an upgrade to run it, due to the requirement of TPM 2.0.
Microsoft is rolling out prompts to compatible Windows 10 systems, so keep your eye on your notification centre, or check the Windows Update section of the settings.
